I'm Chris Larson is a Minneapolis-based graphic designer. While I'm available for freelance work, I'm also the art director for Voltage: Fashion Amplified and the staff designer for L'étoile Magazine. My other interests include biking, art, music, fashion and nightlife.

2008’s Hot Holiday party was such a success that we’re back for more this year! Warm up to a very special disco-oriented set from DJ Soviet Panda (of Too Much Love at First Avenue). Word has it that a couple local celebrities will be in attendance, and if last year’s bash is any indication, you’ll be rubbing elbows with an interesting and extremely good-looking crowd.

Co-presented with l'étoile magazine, this shopping event doubles as a pre-party for the l'étoile/blacklist 1950s-themed, secret location holiday shindig, Jubilee, on December 19th.
Blacklist and l'étoile stylists will be on hand all evening to help you put together the perfect Mad Men-esque look for not only our party on the 19th, but for any festive occasion this holiday season! Offering the most carefully curated selection of men's & women's vintage clothing, hats and accessories in town, you're sure to find just what you're looking for at Blacklist.

It's Fall, Y'all.
Well, almost fall. It’s a very muggy 80° as I’m typing this. However, I always seem to kick into high gear right about this time of year, and something tells me this Autumn will be no exception.
First of all, my pal Phil Miner is throwing a party at Jetset in an effort to help fund his yoga instructor training. I created this flyer to help him promote the event. Doesn’t he look handsome? If you’re in the area and looking for well-crafted cocktails and modern decor, check it out.

The following Saturday, head over to the Ignite Models Studio for SCENEASOTA, one of MN Fashion Week’s must-see events. This runway show, produced by local designer/cutie Maritza Ramirez, boasts a great lineup of fall collections from six up-and-coming Twin Cities designers. I’m particularly excited because this show also marks the design debut of noted fashionista and mplsart.com founder Emma Berg.
My contribution? You guessed it: flyers, programs and other promotional ephemera.
The people watching alone will be worth the ticket price. This event is just one of the many in MN Fashion Week’s Fall ’09 lineup. For the full shakedown on MN Fashion Week, click here.
